Accommodation:

We will be staying in modern and comfortable accommodation throughout the tour. We will have 3 different bases, enabling us to cover a large area of the highlands whilst minimising driving times.

Vehicle:

Due to the rugged nature of the Highlands of Iceland, we need a specially equipped vehicle to enable us to reach the locations we want to shoot at. All the roads in the highlands are gravel roads, these are rough and require us to cross unbridged rivers. For this reason, we will be traveling in a modified Toyota Landcruiser, with bigger wheels and a snorkel. This vehicle will enable us to visit all the locations that regular vehicles aren’t able to reach.

Itinerary:

The itinerary for our tour is subject to change at the discretion of your guide depending on the Icelandic weather, which can be highly unpredictable. We will check the weather forecasts and road conditions and plan our day to optimize shooting conditions. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to visit all the locations on the itinerary, as it is not uncommon for some areas to be inaccessible due to snow or swollen rivers.

Aerial Photography:

Iceland is absolutely stunning from the ground and just as amazing with a birds-eye view of the landscape. There are drone-friendly places, so if you own a drone, you are welcome to bring it along to the tour. Please note that you are solely responsible for your equipment, and are expected to adhere to all rules and regulations as specified by the Icelandic Transport Authority / EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency). Samuel Scicluna Photography and our guides will not be liable for any injury or damage caused to equipment, environment, or people caused by you operating your drone during this tour. Please also note that the wind and weather in Iceland can be sudden and hazardous, so use your judgment and be mindful of the conditions.
